Preheat oven gas mark 3 (160ºC)
Melt the margarine and syrup then allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Add all the other ingredients and mix well then putut in a 7inch cake tin and press down evenly.
Bake in the centre of the oven for 30 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from tin and allow to cool before cutting.
