AIR FRYER BASIC COOKING INSTRUCTIONS |
FROZEN VEGETABLES
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F. Toss the frozen vegetable with olive oil, sprinkle on the salt, black pepper, herbs and seasonings and toss again. Put vegetables into basket and insert into air fryer. Air fry for about 7 minutes. Shake the basket and drain any excess water from the bottom of the basket. Air fry for an additional 7-9 minutes.

FRIED EGG
Oil bottom of oven proof container, crack the egg into it and put into air fryer. Cook at 200°G (390°F) for four to five minutes.

PORK JOINT
Remove the pork from the fridge 20-30 mins before cooking. Pat the skin dry, then score it with a sharp knife to make a diamond pattern being careful not to cut through to the flesh. Rub the scored skin all over with the oil and season well with salt. Put the pork joint in your air-fryer and cook at 210°C (410°F) for 20 mins. Reduce the temperature to 160°C (320°F) and cook for 40-50 mins (for 1kg) or 1 hr-1 hr 10 mins (for 1.5kg). Check that the juices run clear. The crackling should be crisp, but if it’s not, you can remove the skin from the meat, then cover the meat and leave to rest for 20 mins while you cook the skin at 220°C (430°F) for 15-20 mins. Otherwise, leave the joint rest uncovered for 10-20 mins. Slice and serve with apple sauce, if you like.

WHOLE ROAST CHICKEN
Combine the oil, paprika, dried herbs and garlic granules with ½ tsp salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper in a small bowl. Put the chicken in a large bowl, then rub the chicken all over with the spiced vegetable oil. Heat the air-fryerto 180°C (355°F) then carefully put the chicken into the air-fryer, breast-side down. Cook for 30 mins, turn the chicken over and cook for a further 10 mins. Turn the heat up to 200°C (390°) and cook for a final 10-15 mins to crisp the skin and the juices run clear when pierced.

CHICKEN BREASTS
Combine all the seasoning oil ingredients in a small bowl then mix well. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Brush the oil over the chicken, making sure each piece of chicken is completely coated.Transfer the chicken to your air fryer basket and insert into the air fryer. Cook for 7 minutes at 190ºC (375°F) then flip the chicken over and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Cook times will depend on the size of the breasts. Large breasts will require longer cooking time while small or medium breasts should be done in 10 minutes. Remove from the air fryer then allow to rest for a few minutes before serving with sides of your choice.

FROZEN SCAMPI
Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F), arrange the frozen scampi in a single layer in the basket, and cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crispy.

FRIED ONION
Slice the onion thinly, toss with a little oil and seasoning, then air fry at 175°C (345°F) for about 10-15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
