FRUIT SOUR

EARTHQUAKE

  • 1 Measure Scotch or Bourbon
  • 1 Measure lemon juice
  • 1 Measure of fruit liqueur of choice.

    Shake well with ice and pour into glass. Generally served on the rocks and decorated
    with a slice of lemon, a maraschino cherry
    and two short straws.

  • 1 Measure whisky
  • 1 Measure gin
  • 1 Measure Pernod

    Place ice cubes in a shaker, then add all the ingredients and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.



  • BOURBON SOUR



    WHISKY FIX

  • 1 Measure of bourbon
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar syrup
  • Soda

    Mix with ice in a shaker, strain into glass. Add soda to taste and decorate with a lemon slice.

  • 2 Measures of whisky
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon caster sugar

    Shake lemon and caster sugar with ice and strain into a highball glass. Fill the glass with ice, stir and add a slice of lemon.



  • MINT JULEP



    COWBOY

  • 2 Measure of bourbon
  • 1 Teaspoon castor sugar
  • Sprig of fresh mint
  • Soda to top up

    Put the sugar, mint and a little soda into a tall glass. Mash these together to release the mint flavour. Add the bourbon and then top up with soda.

  • 2 Measures of American whisky
  • 1 measure of double cream
  • Sprinkle of nutmeg

    Put cracked ice in a shaker and add the whisky and cream, shake well .Strain into a wine glass and sprikle with nutmeg to taste.

    BOBBY BURNS

  • 2 Measures Scotch whisky
  • 1 Measure sweet Vermouth
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

    Pour all the ingredients into a tumbler, add ice and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a cocktail cherry.

  • 1 Measure Scotch whisky
  • 1 Measure of sweet Vermouth
  • 3 dashes of Benedictine liqueur

    Place ice cubes in a shaker and add all the ingrediants, shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and decorate with a twist of orange peel.



  • WHISKY SOUR



    RUSTY NAIL

  • 2 Measures Scotch whisky
  • 1 Teaspoon sugar
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • soda water to taste

    Place ice cube, whisky, sugar and lemon juice in a shaker and shake well.Pour into a tumbler, add soda water to taste.

  • 1 Measure Scotch whisky
  • 1 Measure Drambuie

    Place ice cubes and the ingredients into a tumbler and stir gently. Strain into a cocktail glass.



  • BRAIN STORM



    OLD FASHIONED

  • 1 Measures Scotch whisky
  • 2 dashes dry Vermouth
  • 2 dashes Benedictine

    Stir all the ingredients in a jug and strain into a cocktail glass. Decorate with a twist of orange peel..

  • 2 Measures Canadian whisky
  • 1sugar lump
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Twist of lemon peel
  • Slice of orange

    Put the sugar lump in a small tumbler the add the bitters and allow to soak in. Crush the sugar cube with a spoon and add a little ice, the twist of lemon peel and a slice of orange.Pour on the whisky and stir well.



  • MANHATTAN



    WHISKY HIGHBALL

  • 2 Measures of bourbon
  • 1 Measure sweet Vermouth
  • 1 Dash Angostura bitters

    Place ice cubes in a shaker then add all the ingredients and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

  • 2 Measures whisky
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Soda water to top up

    Fill a tall tumbler with crushed ice and add the whisky
    and lemon juice. Top up with soda water to taste and
    decorate with a slice of lemon.
