SEEKH KABABS

Ingredients

½ teaspoon butter
1½ lb Lean minced meat
2 oz fresh white bread crumbs
1 inch fresh root ginger grated
1 green chilli finely chopped
2 garlic cloves crushed
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon hot chilli powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Method

Lightly grease 8 thick skewers and set aside.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and using your hands mix and kneed the ingredients together.

Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions. With wetted hands press the portions onto the skewers into pencil shapes, gently pressing until they are about 4 inches long.

Place the skewers under a hot grill and cook for 6 minutes, turning occasionally or until the kebabs are cooked through and browned all over. Serve Hot.
